Job Description

The Manager, Contract Management & Sourcing  reports to Head of Global Legal Support & Management Consulting, Procurement and is responsible for the end-to-end execution of the sourcing process for small to medium-size and complexity sourcing and contracting initiatives. Under direction of the Category Manager, the incumbent develops sourcing strategies, coordinates supplier selection and leads contract negotiations consistent with an overall category strategy and business unit objectives. The Sourcing Manager will lead project teams that include business unit partners, subject matter authorities and Sourcing Analysts.

What type of work will I do?

  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute on low to medium value/complexity sourcing projects and contracting efforts. Create sourcing strategy, conduct analysis and negotiations.

  • Influence requirements from business partners to evaluate and select suppliers

  • Manage sourcing resources and engage subject matter authorities (such as legal, risk and finance) in support of a specific set of commodities and/or a business line

  • Provide sourcing thought leadership and day-to-day oversight of resource activities

  • Work on the accuracy of contract archives

  • Track expirations of existing contracts and develop work plan for renewals, interact with legal and drafting teams to incorporate results of negotiations into contract documents

  • Provide supporting analytics to finance team to validate realized savings

  • Lead relations with key business partners and project owners to develop/maintain strong working relationships

  • Support vendor managers in execution of business led initiatives as needed

What will be expected from Me?

  • Post-secondary education (business preferred) and 6+ years of progressive business experience in global supply chain management and/or vendor management and/or contract management

  • Experience leading a large-scale operation in a related industry

  • Sourcing and procurement principles and standard methodologies knowledge

  • Experience and expertise with supplier contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal and business risk

  • Experience with sourcing and procurement systems and tools

  • Analytical and negotiating skills

  • Skilled communicator – communicates complexity with transparency and ease; articulates a clear view of concepts, ideas, and objectives; able to work with different partners at all levels; represents the company externally with confidence; skilled in both oral and written communication.

  • Collaborator – shares resources and uses knowledge across the organization; builds and nurtures an extensive network.

  • Strong ability to work with and influence a variety of partners

  • Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements relating to management of third party outsourcing
